Holiday Inn South Kingstown (Newport Area), an IHG Hotel

I was amazed about the quality of the rooms. The food in the restaurant was Leagues above what I would have expected. The WiFi was adequate. The only thing I did not care for is the traffic pattern to turn into the facility. The entrance could have been more clearly marked. I will stay again.

The Holiday Inn in S. Kingston was very nice, clean and accommodating. Rooms are a good size. Mattresses and pillows are plush & comfy. Bathroom was only large enough to open the door but the tub is a good size with good water pressure. There are no ocean views from any level as some guests seem to expect (but it isn't advertised). Nice outdoor pool. We found the on site breakfast (which isn't included) only adequate for the expense, so we ate elsewhere the following day. There is a nice bar attached to the restaurant/event room so the destination is good for scheduling business and social events. Overall the hotel met my expectations very nicely!

I’ve been staying at the Kingston Holiday Inn for the past four years whenever I visit my daughter at URI, and I honestly look forward to every stay! The URI discount beats the AAA one, the location is super convenient to campus, and the rooms are always clean and spacious. But what really makes this place special is Chrissy at the front desk. She is an absolute gem! She accommodates our need for a first-floor room due to mobility issues and is friendly, genuine, and goes out of her way to make every visit feel welcoming. They’re so lucky to have her keeping guests happy; she really makes the whole experience shine.

Great Hotel in South Kingston, short drive to Narraganset and Newport. Stayed for 4 days, very quiet and big rooms with comfy beds, clean and enough big bathroom. The breakfast with a buffet of good food with cooked eggs etc. Has great staff! We’ll be back next year! Thanks also to the staff at the restaurant for cheerful service.

Nice hotel, nothing over the top, but no complaints. It is right off of the road, 5 minutes from University of Rhode Island and Boss Ice Arena. You can walk to a Dunkin Donuts from the hotel, and if you need to charge an electric vehicle, you can charge it a short walk away at the GMC dealership (fast charging). Hotel has a nice pool, that it outdoors only. There is no breakfast included, but you can purchase for $13/person. Rooms were nice and comfortable, dining area was nice, but over-priced, so we did not eat there. All around, good hotel.

Great pool but too much sand that it needs to be vacuumed daily. Room were ok. Service was good. I do not know why there is a lock on the back gate to the pool. Especially since the front gate has trouble opening for the past two days. Only one exit should be a fire code violation and dangerous in an emergency which I and another guy explained to the front desk clerk who came out to the pool area because I put a chair in front of the gate to allow people to walk in instead of pushing a four digit code it.

Jason and the crew are awesome! Cleanest Holiday Inn in America so far. My neighbor (room next door) might be pregnant now though the room was a rocking

Great location close to the University of Rhode Island. The room was clean and spacious. A great value for the price we paid. The front desk staff were helpful and friendly.
